The Sino-Ghana Research Center for West Africa (SGRCWA) at the Hubei University of Automotive Technology (HUAT), in collaboration with the School of Foreign Studies and Trade (SFST), has successfully held an interactive academic session on education policy reform in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The seminar, themed “Understanding the Drivers of Fee-Free Educational Policy Change in Sub-Saharan Africa: Analysis Using Fuzzy-Set Qualitative Comparative Analysis,” took place on Monday, 8 December 2025, at the Industry-Education Building (SX301). The event ran from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm and attracted faculty members, researchers, and postgraduate students.
The session was moderated by Dr. Lemuel Gbologah, Director of SGRCWA, and facilitated by Dr. Gabriel Asante, a lecturer and Research Fellow at the Center. Discussions explored the political, economic, and institutional factors shaping fee-free education reforms across African countries, using advanced comparative analytical methods.
The interactive series forms part of SGRCWA’s ongoing commitment to promoting policy-relevant research, cross-regional academic dialogue, and evidence-based approaches to development challenges in West Africa and beyond.
