SGRC-WA Research Policies (Pending Advisory Board Approval)

SGRC-WA is committed to excellence, integrity, and collaboration in research. Our policies are designed to uphold the highest standards while promoting impactful Sino-West African research partnerships.

1. Ethical Research Standards

· Ensure all research adheres to ethical guidelines and respects cultural sensitivities.

· Ensure integrity in data collection, analysis, and reporting.

2. Collaboration and Partnerships

· Establish clear protocols for collaboration between West African and Chinese institutions.

· Define the concepts of intellectual property (IP) rights and data sharing.

3 . Research Funding and Grants

· Establish clear guidelines for funding distribution and grant applications.

· Ensure the responsible and ethical use of research funds.

4. Open Access and Knowledge Sharing

· Promote open-access publications whenever possible.

· Promote the sharing of cross-disciplinary knowledge and cultivate innovation.

5. Capacity Building and Training

· Support young researchers and students through mentorship and funding.

· Foster skills development with specialized training programs.
